Here are
some culinary recipes from Padres and Conquistadores in old time Mexico
The
"New Mexico Magazine" on his column Southwest Bookshelf, wrote
on December 1990, at page 26, about the author of Padres and Conquistadores:
Southwest Forgotten Cuisine.
"For those of us who would rather read a cookbook than cook, here's
our kind of cookbook. The autor's card identifies him as an environmental
engineer, but abviously his avocations are calligraphy, art and the
study of Spanish Colonial archives. Padres and Conquistadores is handsome
to look at. The recipes come from such notables as Padre Eusebio Kino,
Fray Junipero Serra and the wife of Pedro de Alvarado. Each dish is
carefully identified and commented upon. Suitable wines are recommended.
If you have a cookbook collector on your Christmas list, this would
make a great present".Here we have some pages.
